Heat Pumps are the Future

Get Your Home Ready Now

In the future, most homes will have a heat pump, so preparing in advance can save you money and hassle.

The Energy Saving Trust has a comprehensive guide to help you decide if and when a heat pump is right for you. Plus, check if your home is heat pump-ready with this factsheet from Nottingham Energy Partnership (NEP).

Not Ready to Install Yet? Here’s What You Can Do Now:

  • Maximize Insulation: A well-insulated home ensures your heat pump won’t be oversized, reducing upfront costs and improving efficiency, saving you money on heating now.

  • Check Your Radiators & Pipework: Heat pumps operate at lower temperatures than gas boilers, so you may need larger radiators to maintain warmth, something to ask your heating engineer if you are replacing old inefficient radiators in the meantime.

  • Keep Your Airing Cupboard: Heat pumps require a hot water tank and control system, so ensure you will have adequate space before repurposing your airing cupboard.

Get £7,500 Off Your Heat Pump Installation!

Most homeowners qualify for a £7,500 government grant under the Boiler Upgrade Scheme. Check your eligibility and learn more with NEP in Nottingham.
